Itinerary:

 

Please join me in this wonderful figure 8+ hike in Chicopee Woods, we will pass by a lake, bridged creeks, and a suspension bridge, and to top it all, we will get on Chicopee Backcountry trail for 4 "rock hopping" creek crossings, lots of fun.

I have done the Backcountry trail twice before, once I got my feet wet but the second time I didn't, it's very shallow and narrow crossings, but it would be a good idea to have extra shoes and sox in the car.

Our hike will be about 10 miles at 1500 feet elevation, this is not going to be a race, but we will try to keep a steady pace.

We will park at the trailhead parking lot and we will complete or partially hike all the trails listed below.

Please note this hike will be cancelled in case of significant rain forecast.

There is $5 parking fee, you will pay at the entrance gate or online using a posted QR code.

Bathrooms are at the visitor center but they are not open till 10am.

Kindly arrive 10 minutes early for directions and introductions, make sure you have extra time to purchase the parking pass at the gate.
