Itinerary:

Let's paddle around Stone Mountain Lake.

We'll put in at the boat ramp and then paddle clockwise around the perimeter of the lake. Highlights will include passing under the quaint, 134-year-old wooden bridge, listed in the "World Guide to Covered Bridges," and floating past the 150-year-old grist mill.

We will be on flat water, so consistent paddling will be required.  Some experince paddling this distance is recommended.

This map illustrates a seven mile route, just to give you an idea, but ours will be shorter and slightly different:

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

Enter Stone Mountain Park at the Main Entrance from Exit 8 off of US 78 E.

Once you have gone through the main entrance, take the immediate left onto Stonewall Jackson Drive.

Follow this around by the campground and across the dam. You will be on this road for a couple of miles.

Once you cross the dam, take the first immediate right into the Boat Ramp Car Park. If you come to the Marriott entrance, you have gone too far.
