This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Come join me on this early morning, pre-July 4 sunrise hike on the Suwanee Creek Greenway. According to the county website, this hard-surface, multipurpose trail in Gwinnett County, meanders through miles of wooded areas, wetlands, and wildlife habitat. The greenway connects nearly 400 acres of parkland as well as residential and commercial areas.

The plan is to begin near Berry Lake, make our way northbound through McGinnis Reserve and Martin Farm Park, all the way up to George Pierce Park, where we loop around and retrace our steps back to the parking lot.

PACE: This is a moderately paced hike (2.5 to 2.7 miles per hour = 24 to 27 minute/mile) with a few short hydration breaks.
