Itinerary:
Come join us for an easy day hike at Red Top Mountain. We'll be hiking the Homestead trail, which starts just behind the Red Top mountain visitor's center.

The trail is 5.7 miles long and we'll take it at a moderate pace of 2.0 to 2.5 mph. This rolling trail explores a large peninsula of Lake Allatoona within the Red Top Mountain State Park. We'll take a few breaks to look at wildlife or just admire the simple beauty of a mixed deciduous forest.

    How to Get There:
    Event Directions:From Atlanta, take I-75 north to exit #285, Red Top Mountain Road.  Turn right off the exit ramp (east).  Cross over Lake Allatoona and continue straight to the visitor center, which is approximately 1.8 miles on the left.

    Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $14.40 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
