I'm finally back from DC after 4 months of almost no physical activity other than doing dishes, folding laundry, cooking, doing nanny duty for an 8 and 4 year old, and occasionally walking a little to pick up grandkids from school. So this hike is dedicated to those folks who need to do a very moderate, flat hike. There are several of us who have had medical challenges and physical setbacks. This hike's for us!

We'll be parking at the big lot at Don White Park - - NOT the small lot under the overpass.

Our hike will start by going toward St. Andrew Church, where we can walk through the Fourteen Stations of the Cross - - a beautiful little garden of serenity and reflection, with statues depicting the crucifixion of Christ. Then, we'll backtrack through Don White Park and go into the woods by the Chattahoochee River for a nice change of scenery on dirt trails.

Our hike should end within 2 hours, with our mileage about 4 miles.

We will pass a restroom, but it's a small one. We can pause for a few minutes, but hopefully, you'll take the time before the hike to walk a short distance to the bath house.

HIKE STARTS at 9 am! PLEASE ARRIVE BY 8:20 am.

I plan to co-lead the upcoming Monday and Thursday hikes with Mike C. on the 29th and 2nd. Hoefully, I can see you "fit folks" on one of those hikes!

About 1/4 mile past Riverside Park. (Not the lot under the overpass.)

Notes:

No bathrooms at the parking lot, but there is a bathhouse not too far. Please us it before we start the hike.
