Itinerary:

Come join me and Molly for this AOC standard. Starting from the top of Amicalola Falls we'll head up the AT approach trail. After about 4 miles we take a right onto the Len Foote Trail. In another mile we reach the Len Foote Hike Inn where we'll enjoy lunch. After lunching we follow the Len Foote Trail back to our cars to complete a clockwise loop of about 10 miles with 2300 ft of climbing.

This is a solid D4 hike. You should have D4 or better experience. D3 hikers will be considered with good credentials and references.

I'm still recovering so the pace will be slower than the hikes I usually post. I'll be happy with a 2.5-2.7 mph average.

The weather looks like it should be a bit cooler than recent summer temps with the ever present chance of rain.

Carpooling is encouraged but there is not an official carpool set for this event. A Georgia State Parks Pass or daily parking pass is required. Parking is currently $10 per vehicle.
