Itinerary:

Join me on the AT for this fun summer hike in the mountatins.  The weather will likely be warm and humid so we'll ease into our hike and not go crazy on speed or distance.

Starting at Woody Gap we'll follow the AT south for about 6 miles and turn around at Justice Creek to head back.  We'll eat lunch at Justice creek where we can soak our feet on a hot day.  There's no particularly steep or long climbs along the way but we should still have good views south from Ramrock Mountain.

This is just shy of a D5 hike so you should have a few solid D4 hikes in your profile.  Total distance is about 12 miles with an elevation gain of about 2300 ft.  Speed will be moderate averaging 2.5-2.7 mph.

Carpooling is encouraged but there is not an official carpool set for this event. If there is enough demand then I'll add a carpool time and location.

Note the attached map includes about 2 extra miles than I intend to do. I've shorten it as I slowly add mileage back into my fitness.
