Itinerary:

Join me at Island Ford Chattahoochee NRA on 2 to 3 miles of trails that have recently been opened. Thanks to fellow trip leader Angela Nelson who showed our group this newly acquired and developed section on the park recently. After hiking the new section we will then continue on some other trails in the park. Total hiking distance is expected to be 4 to 6 miles.

There will be a few hills, but nothing too strenuous.

We'll stop to admire the views along the way and will have time to photograph and appreciate the Chattahoochee as well as the wildlife.  There are usually deer, geese, ducks, and maybe a hawk and/or heron to see.

Concerning dogs park regulations require 6 foot leashes and carrying a bag to pick up any waste. Your dog should be able handle walking for a couple of hours and interact well with other dogs and people. Also your dog should be able to handle warm and humid conditions.

A maximum of three dogs will be permited on this event.
