Itinerary:

Join me for an morning hike at Sope Creek (Paper Mill Parking Lot). The hike will start at 9:50 am. We head to the 1840 Paper Mill ruins, turn around and retrun to 1900 Paper Mill ruins. We will take a quick break and will hike in a clockwise direction until we get to Sibley Pond. After looking for turles we will head back to the to the parking lot.

There are no restrooms at this location

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

Address 3760 Paper Mill Road, Marietta, GA 30067 (this address is approximate) 

From eastbound Interstate 285

  • Take exit 24, Riverside Drive.
  • Left For 2.3 miles to Johnson Ferry Road.
  • Left for 2.7 miles to the junction of Johnson Ferry Road and Paper Mill Road.
  • Left onto Paper Mill Road for 2.2 miles, entrance will be on the left.

From westbound Interstate 285

  • Take exit 24, Riverside Drive.
  • North For 2.3 miles to Johnson Ferry Road.
  • Left for 2.7 miles to the junction of Johnson Ferry Road and Paper Mill Road.
  • Left onto Paper Mill Road for 2.2 miles, entrance will be on the left.

 

Do not leave any valuables in your car including the trunk since vandalism has happened in the past.

 

You will need to buy online a $5 daily parking pass - OR if you have the annual CRNRA pass just display in your vehicle and you are good to go.
