Itinerary:

Let's hike the Springer Approach Trail to Nimblewill Gap.  We will start from the Amicalola Lodge parking lot.  Park wherever you can there, but look for Marion and I at the entrance to the Lodge.

This hike has alot of well known ups and downs.  We'll cross Frosty Mountain and make our way to Nimblewill Gap.  Afterwards, we will return the way we came until we reach the Hike Inn cut off.  

We'll stop at the Hike Inn for a snack break.  Bring some cash if you want a snack they have.  This will be a 15 minute break.  Plenty of time for a bathroom break.

Then we will continue the hike on the Len Foote Hike Inn trail back to our cars.

Elevation gain approximately 2530 feet.  Pace moderate on the way in, with breaks to regroup and hydrate.  The pace after the Hike Inn will be moderately fast.

You must have a recent (last 3 months) D4 with a moderate pace.  If you are a strong D5'er, realize you should go the pace of the trip leaders, please.  If you are not on the event, you either don't have qualifying experience or the event is full.  Parking fee is $10 per vehicle or a state park pass.

Clothing appropriate for weather conditions (raincoat - just in case)

Adequate water (1.5 - 2 L) You can refill at the Hike Inn
