Itinerary:

Please join me for a self paced fitness hike at Stone Mountain. Hike will be a D4 with 6 miles and 1900+ feet elevation.  We will summit the mountain 3 times at our own pace.  To receive credit you must complete the 3 summits in 2 hours 45 minutes. Please have solid D4 or above AOC experience in the last 4-6 weeks.

We will meet outside the bathrooms by the beginning of the walk up trail. 

Stone Mountain requires a parking pass, daily $20.00 or yearly $40.00.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can start the hike on time.


Required Items to Bring:

Weather appropriate clothing

Hiking boots/shoes w/good traction

Water (2 to 3 litres)/electrolytes

Parking Pass

Address: Stone Mountain Walk Up Trail Parking Lot, Robert E. Lee Blvd., Stone Mountain, GA

From I-285/US-78 interchange on the east side of town, take U.S. Highway 78 East about 7.7 miles. Bear right at Exit #8 to the Stone Mountain Park main entrance. After entering, follow Jefferson Davis Drive about a mile straight ahead. Bear right onto Robert E. Lee and follow it about another mile. Past the gate on your right, you will see the parking lot on your left. We will meet outside the restroom building at the base of the walk up trail.

If it is raining or has been recently raining, hike will be rescheduled for another day.
