***To receive credit, you must complete hike in 2 1/2 hours.

HIKE DESCRIPTION:

Please join me for a fitness hike at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.

We will hike over Big Kennesaw, Little Kennesaw, and Pigeon Hill to Burnt Hickory Road and then turn around and go back the way we came.  The way back will be self-paced.

We will take a hydration break at the 1 mile marker, Burnt Hickory and as needed.

MEETING POINT:

We will meet in front of the visitor center. Please plan accordingly to arrive at the hike 10-15 minutes early so we can start the hike on time.

PARKING:

Please note that Kennesaw requires a daily $5.00 pass, Kennesaw annual pass $40.00, or the America the Beautiful Pass. You can purchase your pass in the visitor center, at the automated machine in the parking lot, or online.


Required Items to Bring:

Hiking Boots/Shoes with good traction

Water (2 to 3 liters)/electrolytes

Parking Pass

There is a large parking lot at the visitor center. If the parking lot is full, there is an overflow lot. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from the overflow lot to the visitor center.
