Itinerary:

Red Top Mountain is a great place to walk on soft, wide trails that are non-technical and gently rolling.  We'll start at the Visitor Center and head up towards the Trading Post. A small part of he Sweet Gum Trail is closed so we modify the route justa bit.  Then we will take the Osprey Loop.  Then cross Red Top mountain Road and hike to Iron Hill trail, once there we'll take the 3.8 mile loop which often meanders along the lake. We will pass the Trading Post head back to the Visitor Center. I plan to only take 2-3 quick stops to delayer/drink/regroup.

The pace will be moderate, about 20 minute miles and the weather is expected to be cool. That combined with the flat terrain and non-technical  trails, it should be a very enjoyable day.

A Georgia State Park Pass is required. A day pass can be purchased at the Visitor Center or you can often borrow one from your library or even better plan to carpool with someone who already has one.
