Itinerary:

Let's hike East Palisades on Sunday morning for a 4.5-mile Explorer hike. We'll move at a moderate to fast pace to finish by 9:00 a.m. Plan to start at the Indian Trail entrance at 7:30 a.m.  From the entrance, we will hike to the Bamboo Forest, Chattahoochee River, Overlook, the bluffs, and a couple of other interesting places. We will move at a moderate to fast pace up hills and on rooted, rocky trails. This beautiful trail is perfect for adventurous hikers who want to explore the trails at East Palisades. We will meet in the parking lot at the Indian Trail entrance at 7:30 am. 

The National Park Service parking fee is $5 (which you will pay online) unless you have a Chattahoochee NRA annual pass. 1425 Indian Trail NW, Sandy Springs, GA 30327


Required Items to Bring:

Water, hiking or athletic shoes,  and snacks.  

Parking pass or $5 parking fee

Poles are helpful for a few of the steep ascents and descents, if you like to use them.

Notes:

Remember to bring $5.00 for a parking pass, unless you have an annual pass.

No restrooms at this location, but trees are abundant.
