What: Discover Scuba Diving!

Curious about scuba diving? Maybe a little nervous?  Want to try it out but don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on lessons and gear?  Well, why not try the Discover Scuba Experience to see if it changes your mind?  Your $15 will cover your gear and instruction for this class... a deal that can't be beat!

The Discover Scuba Diving program lets you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of a PADI Professional in the safety of a pool. During your adventure, you'll master some basic concepts and scuba skills. When you participate in a Discover Scuba Diving program, you discover excitement and adventure. Nothing compares to the "weightless" exhilaration of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling!

Upon arrival at Divers Supply Marietta, go to the dive shop UPSTAIRS to sign in (remember, you will need to call them after you sign up on the AOC website), and sign PADI plus AOC waivers. Please do not forget to sign both waivers!

NOTE: PADI waiver Must be signed, including Medical Questionnaire. If you answer "YES" to any of these questions below, you will be required to provide a letter from a physician stating that your are fit to scuba dive!
 
PADI Medical Questionnaire: 
Do you currently have an ear infection?
Do you have a history of ear disease, hearing loss or problems with balance?
Do you have a history of ear or sinus surgery?
Are you currently suffering from a cold, congestion, sinusitis or bronchitis?
Do you have a history of respiratory problems, severe attacks of hayfever or allergies, or lung disease?
Have you had a collapsed lung (pneumothorax) or history of chest surgery?
Do you have active asthma or history of emphysema or tuberculosis?
Are you currently taking medication that carries a warning about any impairment of your physical or mental abilities?
Do you have behavioral health, mental or psychological problems or a nervous system disorder?
Are you or could you be pregnant?
Do you have a history of colostomy?
Do you have a history of heart disease or heart attack, heart surgery or blood vessel surgery?
Do you have a history of high blood pressure, angina, or take medication to control blood pressure?
Are you over 45 and have a family history of heart attack or stroke?
Do you have a history of bleeding or other blood disorders?
Do you have a history of diabetes?
Do you have a history of seizures, blackouts or fainting, convulsions or epilepsy or take medications to prevent them?
Do you have a history of back, arm or leg problems following an injury, fracture or surgery?
Do you have a history of fear of closed or open spaces or panic attacks (claustrophobia or agoraphobia)?

Remember that if you answer YES to any of these questions you must bring a doctor's approval!

Bathing suit & towel. $15 for Diver Supply.		Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Mask, fins & snorkel, body suit or wet suit if ya' got em.
