Itinerary:
This is a fitness hike for intermediate to advanced hikers. Beginning at the trailhead above the falls, we will hike the AT Approach trail for 4 miles. We will turn onto the Len Foote Trail and hike a mile to Len Foote Hike Inn, where we will stop for a break and to eat a snack/lunch. We will return by completing the loop via the Len Foote trail. We should be back in Atlanta by early to mid afternoon.

I have listed this as a fitness hike because we will maintain a steady pace with very limited rest breaks, except to enjoy our lunch and a beverage at the Len Foote Inn.  Also, the hike will exceed 10 miles with above-average elevation gains.  However, the pace will be only average.  Therefore, this hike may not appeal to those seeking to hike at very fast speeds.

While we will not be hiking at a blazing speed, this hike is still for those in very good physical condition and with experience with D4 or D5 hikes.  The trip leaders reserve the right to remove any person who might not have the appropriate experience to attend this hike.

The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
