Itinerary: | |||||||
The Silver Comet Trail is over 61 miles long, and starts near Mavell Road in Smyrna, Georgia. It ends at the Georgia/Alabama state line, near Cedartown and Esom. Let's ride a section in Paulding County from mile marker 20.3 at the Tara Drummond Trailhead to mile marker 33.5 at Coot's Lake and back for a total of 26.4 miles. This section of the Comet includes a trestle bridge and a tunnel and should be less crowded than the more commonly used parts of the Silver Comet to the southeast. We will maintain an easy pace between 10-12 mph. All types of bikes and levels of riding ability are welcome. :) Please note that you will be responsible for your own bike maintenance during the event. | |||||||
