Itinerary:
We will start at Track rock gap and hike upto Brasstown Bald. We will have lunch at the bald and then return to track rock gap. This a little under 12 mile hike. The first 1.5 miles to the Buzzards Roost Ridge is a steep 1500 ft elevation gain. Over the next 4 miles we will gain another 1000 ft elevation and reach the Brasstown bald via the Chimneytop mountain.

On our way back, we can stop for Dinner. Suggestions on where to dine, welcome!

Note: This is a tough hike with steep inclines. For some going up is tough and for some going down is tough. You can sign up if have never done a D5 only if you are fit and have done some long D4 hikes recently.
