Itinerary:
***This hike is not for beginners.  You will need to be in really good physical shape to complete this hike.

Spectacular scenery and hiking trails make this one of Georgia's most popular state parks. At 729 feet, Amicalola Falls is the tallest cascade in the Southeast.  The Trail to the Inn is entirely within the Chattahoochee National Forest and Amicalola Falls State Park. Although much of the way is an easy walk, there are some climbs of moderate difficulty.

The Inn is very unique and is accessible only by foot over a moderate 5 mile hiking trail which originates at the top of the Amicalola Falls.  We will start at the Visitor's Center and walk up the 425 steps to the tops of the falls.  The hike is about 11-12 miles round trip at a moderate pace (2.5mph). We will enjoy lunch at the Len Foote Hike Inn.  The Inn sometimes has desserts or fruit in exchange for a small donation, so bring some money if you'd like to have a treat.  There are generally beverages as well, including hot water for tea and lemonade.  The views are amazing on a clear day from the Hike Inn.

Steven and I will co-lead this hike together.  One of us will sweep and make sure we'll stay together on the trail.
