Finally long awaited Labor day weekend is coming, we thought it might be a great idea to spend the weekends with AOC members. So we picked Tallulah Gorge State Park as our Labor day weekend spot. 10 miles South of city of Clayton, this beautiful park with incredible gorge, Tallulah Gorge State Park is the most visited State park in Georgia. There is more than 20 miles of Hiking and Mountain biking trails, there is a swimming beach, or we can get a permit and go swimming at the sliding rock, if you want to play a game of tennis, bring your tennis racquet and tennis shoes, if you like fishing, Tallulah lake is a great place to go fishing, only minutes to Panther Creek Falls, and Black Rock Mountain State Park, if you have a sweet tooth for a good ice cream, Im happy to take you to my secret spot just inside North Carolina.

(Here are some things we are planning)

On Saturday, I though it might be fun to start out with water gun fight (dont forget to bring your water gun, well team up and have a short wet fun), and then well hike to Sliding Rock for a cool dip in the river for a little sliding and swimming. then well have dinner.

On Sunday, after breakfast well have a short hike, and then we have 2 options:
1) Don Hayes is offering free kayaking lesson at Lake Tugaloo (more details to come)
2) Susumu is taking a short trip to NC to see the waterfalls and visit to Highlands, NC depending on time we can visit Springridge Creamery for a wonderful ice-cream. After we re-group well have group dinner.

On Monday, well have breakfast and well pack up our gears and go back home...

Tallulah Gorge is one of the most spectacular canyons in the eastern U.S., Tallulah Gorge is two miles long and nearly 1,000 feet deep. Visitors can hike rim trails to several overlooks, or they can obtain a free permit (limit 100 per day) to hike down to the gorge floor. A suspension bridge sways 80 feet above the rocky bottom, providing spectacular views of the river and waterfalls. (Tallulah Gorge State Park)
