Want some excitement and adventure. Do you want to laugh and scream at the same time. Well then join me For an Awesome White Water Rafting ride down the Ocoee river in Ducktown TN. Part of our trip will be on the same white water rapids used for the olympic kayaking events some years back. Afterwards we will camp overnight at the vendors outpost. They will provide tents with sleeping pads. Each tent can sleep 4 people. The vendor we will be using is Big Frog Expeditions.

Saturday: Meet at carpool by 8:45am. Introduce ourselves and then match up the people who are willing to drive with those that prefer not to drive. Hopefully be on the road by 9am. It is a 1.5 to 2hr drive depending on traffic and road conditions. Those that prefer to meet at the event, please be there by 11am. At 11:15am we will meet our guides and they will give us our rafting gear, load us up on the bus and  transport us to the river where we will be get  instructions on proper rafting techniques. After which we head down the river 4.5hrs total which includes a vendor supplied lunch . There are stretches of river that are calm, and the guides will most likely allow those of us that want to do so to jump in the river and swim and or float down the river.  We will then return as we came, arriving back around 5:30pm at which time we will shower and change into dry clothes.

At this time we will select our tents and unload our gear and setup our sleeping bags.  Take a stroll around our campsite, check out the hiking trails or just kick back on one of the chairs on the porch of the outfitters building.

At 7pm we will have a barbecue at the pavillion near the camping area which has grills, electricity and water. Bring whatever food you want to grill. There is a grocery store 2 miles from the outpost you can shop at if you prefer not to bring food with you. After dinner the rest of the night is yours to do what you like. After 11pm the vendor requests no loud noises as other groups may also be camping and may be sleeping.

Sunday: Breakfest of eggs and bacon at 9am. Of course you can bring something else if you prefer. After breakfest pack up and head home. We need to be out of the grounds by 11am.
