Itinerary:
Hey! It's a nice day and I don't have anything fun going on tonight, so let's get our hike on and grab a bite to eat at the best restaurant in Marietta!

Meet me at the Kennesaw Visitor's Center at 6p.m. We'll begin our hike behind the Visitor's Center and then do the easy CCC loop for a warm up. From there, we'll double back and take a shortcut (don't worry, no bushwhacking involved) to get to Big Kennesaw. We'll go straight up the main path, and then we'll take a short break at the top. Next, we'll go down the back of Big KM to the road, rest for a minute, then go back up, over and down to the Visitor's Center.

This is NOT going to be a power hike, but I wouldn't say it's going to be "easy." If you are a D2 hiker looking to get into D3 shape, this could be a good hike for you... you WILL be tired afterwards. If you are a D5 hiker, you might be bored... so step it up and add weight to your pack or hike backwards. (Just kidding. Not really.)

Basically, we will start off slow to warm up for the first half mile or so, then expect the pace to pick up a little bit. During the steepest parts, your trip leader probably won't win any speed awards; feel free to hike at your own pace.

We should be able to complete this hike in less than tow hours, and I'm guessing the mileage will be a bit under 4 miles.

After our hike, those of you who are interested can join me at Tasty China. If you've never been to Tasty China, prepare to have your face rocked off!  =-D TC was my introduction to Sichuan cuisine and it was truly love at the first hot and numbing bite. TC is in Marietta and they allow you to bring your own beer and wine.

Hope to see you out there this evening!
