Itinerary:

The latest trail being built in Cobb County hasn't even opened to the public.  Acquired a few years ago form a SPLOST (1 cent on sales tax), this new trail will approach 20 miles when completed.

As a certified crew leader I have a tremendous amount of experience constructing and re-working trails.  I'll explain correct trail design, construction and maintenance on-site.  You'll gain an appreciation for a well built and sustainable trail.

We'll meet in the parking lot, get a safety review, walk to the trail, and work for roughly three hours. If you can't work the entire three hours, that's fine - arrive/leave as you wish.

Since this is NTD, other groups besides the AOC may be on-site.

PATRICK WILL BE IN AN ORANGE SHIRT WITH A BASEBALL HAT EMBLZONED WITH CREW LEADER.  Look for him as the point of contact.

Required Items to Bring:

Water, gloves are VERY helpful

Closed toe shoes - no sandals

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

Gloves Long pants are helpful but some people prefer shorts

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

The trail is near Mars Hill Road off of Cobb Pky/HWY41.  A couple of entry points exists to access the trail.  I'll know specifics as NTD approaches.

Notes:

Snacks are often provided and sometimes REI has t-shirts and items.
