Itinerary:
THIS IS NATIONAL TRAILS DAY!

America's 200,000 miles of trails provide access to the natural world for recreation, inspiration and education. Trails provide opportunities to breathe fresh air, get hearts pumping, escape from daily stresses and maintain overall health. NTD represents years of hard work, dedication and countless volunteer hours contributed by nonprofit groups and community organizations across America.

According to the Outdoor Industry Association's annual Outdoor Recreation Participation Study for the United States 2010, 40 million Americans hike and backpack, 22 million Americans paddle, 7 million mountain bike, 5 million rock climb, and 4 million trail run.

There will be something for everyone! Please pitch in and help out a great local branch of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. I know many of you have expressed a desire to help clean up this beautiful area. Well, now is the time!

All work tools will be provided, but please bring your work gloves if you have them.

Required Items to Bring:
  • Wear clothes that you don't mind getting very dirty. Wear old sneakers or boots, but absolutely NO sandals.  Bring work gloves. We encourage you to wear long pants as some of the trash we pick up is broken glass and sharp/jagged materials. Wear weather appropriate clothes!
  • Other items to consider: hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
  • Bring clean clothes and shoes to change into for your journey home!
  • Drinks. Please bring water in a reuseable drinking container.  A water cooler will be on site to refill your container.
