The weather is getting chilly, the leaves are turning bright, golden hues and old man winter is right around the corner so join us for one of our favorite and our final pioneer camping trip of 2005!

For this trip, we値l head to the northwest corner of Georgia to Cloudland Canyon State Park. One of the most scenic parks in the state, Cloudland offers beautiful views and two cascading waterfalls at the bottom of a gorge cut by Sitton Gulch Creek.

We値l hike the 4.8 mile West Rim Trail with beautiful vistas of the canyon and rugged geology. We値l have lunch overlooking the countryside some 2000 feet below. Following the hike, for those interested and with energy to spare, we値l brave the infamous stairs down into the gorge to view two gorgeous waterfalls cascading into large pools.

The change of season comes late to Georgia so this trip is not to be missed if you enjoy the outdoors during autumn. We値l have plenty of hot coco and smores to go along with a warm toasty fire.
