Itinerary:
Moderate to Strenuous 5 miles

Note: My hikes are leisure speed at 2 to 2.5 miles an hour....with plenty of breaks for water and snacks....if you are fast hiker and wants to hike fast, this may not be the hike for you.

This is a great place to hike, hiking near Chattahoochee river and Rotten Wood Creek (thanks to local Sierra Club-the river is now clean). there will be couple of areas where we need to climb straight up approx. 500-700 feet or so, and there will be hiking on 4ft wide pipes to the other side, and some areas we have to walk on a very rocky surfaces, and some minor stream crossings involved. There will be nice views of the Chattahoochee and some mill ruins.

Required Items to Bring:
Plenty of water and lunch. If you have a hiking shoes its better. Trekking pole if you have it, if not you can find a walking stick on the trail.		Recommended Items to Bring:

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Vinings, Georgia 10:45 am Parking lot at Chattahoochee National Recreation Area, West Palisades Unit. From Hotel, go turn right on to Interstate North Pkwy to Windy Hill, turn right, turn right again on to Powers Ferry Road, after passing 5 lights youll go under I-285and turn right on to Akers Mill Rd, at the next light turn right, stay on this road until you get to Cobb Parkway (youll cross I-75), Turn left on to Cobb Parkway, after paces Mill Road Intersection, there is an entrance to West Palisades behind the gas station.

Are Dogs Permitted? No.

Will this event occur rain or shine? No, not if heavy thunderstorms are forecast.
