Itinerary:
Moderate 6.7 Miles

I have hiked many times on this trail, but its also well biked and popular among mountain bikers. There is a 1,700 feet of elevation gain in the first 3 miles, many small to large streams to cross, some couple of inches, and some are 6-10 inches deep. We will be having lunch at the beautiful scenic overlook, overlooking the beautiful Cohutta Wilderness. One day when I was hiking I came across a mother deer and a doe, doe was drinking the river water, and mother was cleaning her, it was quite a nice site, I stayed there with couple of bikers, until they finally noticed us... according to the bikers, they say they come across many interesting wild life often since its faster and less noisier than hiking... maybe we can come across a baby doe, fox, groundhog, etc..?

Since this is a beginners mountain biking, if you are seasoned mountain biker or non beginner mountain biker, this is not your event. We will be taking it slow and we will be taking many breaks, to accommodate ourselves. At the same time well be enjoying the beauty of nature.

Well be having a pre-trip meeting on Thursday October 27th, at La Madeline off Powers Ferry near Windy Hill in Cobb County at 7:00pm
