Itinerary:

The Big Creek Greenway Trail in Alpharetta is a 6.2 mile concrete trail that runs along Big Creek parallel to North Point Parkway, from Webb Bridge Road on the north end to Mansell Road on the south end. We will be meeting at the trail entrance near the Alpharetta YMCA, and then we will walk for 2 hours covering about 5-6 miles of the trail. The entire greenway is extremely flat, so we will be walking at a good pace to try to get a little workout in.

There are restrooms at the trailhead, and there is no fee to park.

If you bring your dog, it should be able to keep up with the group and interact well with other dogs and people. Owners must keep their dogs on a leash and clean up after their pets on the trails.

Take GA 400 North to Exit 10, Old Milton Parkway. Turn right at the end of the ramp and move to the left lane. At 0.6 miles turn left on Northpoint Parkway, travel 0.4 miles, and make a right on Preston Ridge Road. On-road parking is 0.1 mile down on the right before reaching the Alpharetta YMCA parking lot.
