Itinerary:
Please join us for the "first" AOC SWAT event -- (S)unday (W)alk (A)nd (T)rivia.  We will be doing the trails and loops of the Gold Branch unit of the CNRA.  We will start the hike around 5:15 pm and should be finished about 7:30 pm.  Please note there is no restroom facilities at this location.

Afterward, please join us for the optional trivia portion of the event at North River Tavern (770-552-8784) which is a few miles away from the park at 8:00 PM.

Don't worry if you are not "good" at trivia.  It is just an excuse to socialize after a hike!

When you sign up, please write in the note section whether you plan to attend the optional trivia portion or not so we know whether we need to reserve a large table for us.   Thank you. :)

Take exit 6 - Northridge Road. 
Stay in right lane merging onto Dunwoody Place, go 1.3 miles. 
Turn right at Roswell Road, go 0.6 miles. 
Turn left at Azalea Drive, go 1.7 miles. 
Turn left at Willeo Road, go 1.4 miles. 
Turn left at Lower Roswell Road, go 0.7 mile to park entrance on the left. 

From southbound US 19 and GA 400
Take exit 6 - Northridge Road. 
Continue straight onto Dunwoody Place, go 1.3 miles. 
Turn right at Roswell Road, go 0.6 miles. 
Turn left at Azalea Drive, go 1.7 miles.

From northbound Interstate 75
Take exit 263 for GA120 Loop. 
Merge right onto GA 120 Loop, E/South Marietta Parkway SE, go 1.2 miles. 
Exit GA 120 Loop for GA 120 E/Roswell Road. 
Turn right at GA 120 E/Roswell Road, go 6.1 miles. 
Turn right at Timber Ridge Road, go 1.4 miles. 
Continue straight onto Lower Roswell Road, go 0.7 miles to park entrance on the left. 

From southbound Interstate 75
Take exit 265 for GA120 Loop. 
Turn left at GA 120 Loop/North Marietta Parkway NE, go 1.4 miles. 
Exit GA 120 Loop for GA 120 E/Roswell Road. 
Turn left at GA 120 E/Roswell Road, go 6.1 miles. 
Turn right at Timber Ridge Road, go 1.4 miles. 
Continue straight onto Lower Roswell Road, go 0.7 miles to park entrance on the left. 

From eastbound Interstate 285
Take exit 24 - Riverside Drive NW. 
Turn left at Riverside Drive NW, go 2.3 miles. 
Turn left at Johnson Ferry Road NW, go 1.8 miles. 
Turn right at Lower Roswell Road, go 2.2 miles to the park entrance on your right. 

From westbound Interstate 285
Take exit 24 - Riverside Drive NW. 
Turn right at Riverside Drive NW, go 2.2 miles. 
Turn left at Johnson Ferry Road NW, go 1.8 miles. 
Turn right at Lower Roswell Road, go 2.2 miles to the park entrance on your right.


Notes:
The current forecast for Sunday (June 26) is Scattered T-Storms with high 89°F, low 67°F, 40% chance of precipitation, and sunset at 8:52 PM ET.  We will not cancel this hike because of minor rain but for safety reasons will cancel it if there is predicted to have thunderstorms during the time of our hike.  Look for an email from your TL's around 3:00 PM on Sunday afternoon to see if this hike is a "go" or "no go".  I will still do the optional trivia at NRT.  :)

A maximum of 3 friendly dogs are permitted on this hike. They must be on a leash at all times and you must pick up after your pets per park rules. Please keep in mind if you do bring pets, you may have issues attending the optional trivia portion of the event.

Cost Includes:$3 parking fee at Gold Branch if you do not have annual pass.
