Itinerary:
Note: Please do NOT reserve camping until instructed by trip leader, since sites are large enough to be shared. Note the campground cancallation terms below.

You'll need to do the following
1) If necessary, reserve your camping (see below instructions).  Please await my instructions 1st.   If you need privacy, please reserve your own site, and let me know.
2) Indicate what food & items you're bringing for the meals here (note: It should save automatically, but click File/Save to be sure)
3) Bring clothing and camping gear sufficient for cooler temperatures.   Avg temps are 45 to 73, so have a sleeping bag that handle at least 10 degrees colder.

FATS (Forks Area Trail System), a 37 mile trail system located along the Savannah River in Clarks Hill, SC (just N or August), is considered by many the premier trail system in the southeast.   The trails have great flow, fast bermed turns and an amazing rollercoaster feel that rewards a rider that can maintain momentum from one roller to the next.  That said, the trails do not require technical riding skills.

The trails were awarded the elite IMBA Epic Status by the International Mountain Biking Assn, and was the site of the IMBA World Bike Summit in 2010, the largest annual gathering of mountain bikers in the world.

"Beginner to Intermediate" riders are welcome.  This will be a modest pace, and the technical difficulty of these trails is very limited; however, riders will need sufficient endurance for 10 to 15 miles at a time.  There are some moderately long climbs, but most are reasonable in length.  Similar trails: Ft Yargo outer loop (similar length), Blankets Creek VMT (similar style).
