Itinerary:
This trail is named after one of several homesteads which were once located along it. It begins at the front porch of the Visitor Center and crosses some of the most beautiful portions of the park, including part of the shore of Lake Allatoona. It is a 5.5 mile loop, and the surface is compacted soil.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:The park is located north of Atlanta, 1.5 miles east of I-75 exit #285. The park office is on the left side of Red Top Mountain Road, a few yards after passing the beginning of Marina Road to your left. 
IMPORTANT: This trailhead IS NOT at 50 Lodge Rd. Do not follow Google Maps or similar web based directions, otherwise you will end up at the wrong place.
