Itinerary:

Let's go biking on the Silver Comet.

The Silver Comet Trail is paved path that is over 61 miles long, but we aren't doing the entire trail.  Not today anyway. ;)  Our ride will begin our ride at mile marker 20.3 (Tara Drummond Trailhead) and bike to the Van Wert Trailhead (mile marker 36).  We'll ride out and back for a total of 31.4 miles. This section of the Silver Comet includes a trestle bridge and a tunnel and should be less crowded than the more commonly used parts of the Silver Comet to the southeast.

The trail is long and straight, so expect to maintain a minimum pace of 10-12 mph.

All types of bikes are welcome. :)

This is not a beginner bike trip because of mileage. 31 and a half miles is a bit more challenging if you are not used to riding at least 10- 15 miles on a normal bike ride.

Please note that you will be responsible for your own bike maintenance during the event.
