Itinerary:
Moderate Hike approx. 12-14 miles

Not that it matters but its my one year anniversary AOC hike, since its a special day for me, we are going to hike the same trail as we did last year. Well have lunch at the lake ( this will be our half way point). The trail is basically gradual downhill to the lake and back. and after the hike, as an option, we can do a short hike around the rim of the gorge.

Required Items to Bring:
Sports drink, snack and lunch, trekking pole will help on the way back up the trail and layers of clothes. Please dont forget to bring rain gear in case of rain.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Tallulah Falls, GA 30573 10:30am Jane Yarn Hart Interpretive center (please get there on time since we need to get permit to hike this trail) From the Park & Ride, go North on I-85, Go North on I-985, I-985 becomes 365, 365 becomes US-441, when you cross over Tallulah Falls Dam Bridge, turn right on to Jane Hurt Yarn Road, park at the Interpretive Center parking lot.

Notes:

Are Dogs Permitted? Yes, however they MUST remain on a 6 leash. Owner is responsible for case and control of thier animal.

Will this event occur rain or shine? No, no hiking in the rain, snow or sleet.

NOTE: Please be considerate of others. If you sign-up and cannot attend, please e-mail the trip leader, so others that may be on a waiting list may attend.
