Itinerary:
Easy

Just before Christmas, a weekend trip to Asheville, NC., to tour the city, with optional visit to Linville Cavern, and or Chimney Rock, and or Hot Springs (need to make advanced reservation). Its about 3 hour drive to Asheville, but Im sure youll enjoy the trip.
