Itinerary:
The Silver Comet Trail is paved path that is over 61 miles long, but we aren't doing the entire trail.  Our ride will begin our ride at the Tara Drummond Trailhead (mile marker 20.23) and bike to the Rockmart Trailhead (mile marker 37.66).  We'll ride out and back for a total of 35 miles.

This section of the Silver Comet includes the Pumkinvine Trestle, the Brushy Mountain Tunnel, Paulding Forest, Coots Lake and should be less crowded than the more commonly used parts of the Silver Comet to the southeast.

At Rockmart we will have a picnic brunch at the covered picnic tables across the creek.  Both trailheads have flush toilets.

The trail is long and straight, so expect to maintain a minimum pace of 10-12 mph.

All types of bikes are welcome. :)

This is not a beginner bike trip because of mileage. 35 miles is a bit more challenging if you are not used to riding at least 10- 15 miles on a normal bike ride.

Please note that you will be responsible for your own bike maintenance during the event.
