Ever wonder how people got around in the days before GPS and On Star? After just a short lesson well have you walking through the woods using a map and compass like a pro.
We will begin with an introduction to basic map reading, compass skills and using a pace count to measure distance. After lunch we will turn you loose (individually or in pairs) into the woods to follow an established course set up in the park. If you are good enough to find all the points and complete the puzzle on the map sheet, you will be eligible to receive a prize.
