Itinerary:
I got an email inquiring if you need to be a trip leader (TL) to participate in this event. NO, everybody can sign up. After the hike, TL or PTL  can stay back to attend the meeting in park pavilian and other participants can go home.
The trail starts near the parking lot and proceeds for about half a mile around the park until it crosses a railroad track, and then an old bridge. We will then walk on parts of the white red and blue trails to form a loop inside a pine forest, between two creeks. Along the way we will see the ruins of the old Decatur waterworks, which were abandoned in the 1940's.
Part of the trail has been recently paved and a large new bridge and boardwalk built that cross the railroad track and overlook the old waterworks.

Required Items to Bring:
Water and good walking shoes. Bring sweat shirt or light jacket in case of cold breeze.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:1. From the intersection of Clairmont Road and North Druid Hills Road in NE Atlanta take Clairmont about 0.3 mile south (i.e. toward Decatur) to the next traffic light at McConnell Drive.

2. Turn Left onto Mc Connell Drive and proceed about 0.1 mile to a stop sign.

3. Turn Right (to stay on McConnell) and drive about 100 yards further to the "Mason Mill Park" sign.

4.Once you enter the park keep driving to the far end of the park behind/after Tennis Court (You will see some construction machinery and container at that portion of the park)

 



Notes:
- Our speed wiil be from moderate to fast.
- Dogs must be on leash all the time.
