After we meet at Oconaluftee Visitor Center we will go to Mincus Mill from there we will hike to Deeplow Gap from there we will take Thomas Divide Trail to campsite 52. Sunday we will hike up Newton Bald Trail to Mingus Mill Trail back to starting point. And either go to local restaurant and have lunch or drive back to Atlanta.

Travel time is about 3 hours 15 minutes

Required Items to Bring:
tent , sleeping bag. 2 lunch, 1 dinner, 1 breakfast, food bag to hang food item on bear cable.

I-85 North to I-985 North which turns into Hwy 365 which turns into 441 into Franklin N C. Turn right on to Hwy 64 toward Dillsboro N C to Hwy 74/441 follow Hwy 441 toward Smokies and Cherokee at first traffic light in Cherokee turn right toward park we will meet at visitors center
