Itinerary:
We will be hiking the Walk-Up Trail going to the top of Stone Mountain from the Confederate Hall parking lot and back. Up and back is about two miles, everybody can choose their own speed.

This is a sunset hike and first night of the moon. That means pretty much dark sky, if we are lucky then probaly will have a glimspe of thin line of first day of moon.

At the top of the mountain, we will hang out to see the sunset.  We will take pictures and and enjoy the scenic view from the top.

THE HIKE WILL START FROM THE CONFEDERATE HALL PARKING LOT NEAR THE BATHROOMS AT 5:45 PM.

Free parking is available at MARTA PARK n RIDE parking lot. It is less than a half mile walk to the park and the entrance is near our meeting area. Please take the time to look at the park map and parking options in order to be on time!

I would reach here early to do a pre-hike round to the top and back, I will start at 4.30 pm. If you like to join me for extra work-out then please mention this on your sign-up note or email/text me.

*Sunset forecast is 6.49 PM

*I rated this hike as D2, but if you are new to hiking then it would probably feel like a D3 hike.
