Itinerary:

This is the afternoon hike for our first day of 2x5 hikes. Vickery Creek is a beautiful section of the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area. We will hike around 4 miles of these trails at a moderate to fast pace including visiting the old dam on Big Creek. This will be a great event for new hikers who are in good condition.

All of the NCRA parks have a parking fee of $3 cash, unless you have a Chattahoochee NRA annual pass ($25). Alternately, you can park across the street and meet us in the Vickery Creek parking lot to save the three dollar fee.

If you bring your dog, it should be able to keep up with the group and interact well with other dogs and people. The Chattahoochee NRA requires that owners keep their dogs on a leash and clean up after their pets on the trails.

$3 for parking, unless you have an annual pass

From Northbound U.S. 19/Ga. 400
Take exit 6 for Northridge Road
Stay RIGHT onto Northridge Road crossing bridge
Take first RIGHT onto Dunwoody Place, go 1.3 miles
Turn RIGHT at Ga. 9 (Roswell Road), go 0.6 miles
Cross river turn RIGHT onto Riverside Road, go less than 0.1 mile
Turn LEFT at park entrance

From Southbound U.S. 19/Ga. 400
Take exit 7 for Ga. 140 (Holcomb Bridge Road)
Turn RIGHT onto Ga. 140 East (Holcomb Bridge Road), go 0.2 mile
Turn LEFT at Dogwood Road, go 1.0 miles
Continue STRAIGHT on Riverside Road, go 1.0 mile
Turn RIGHT at park entrance
