Itinerary:
This 1-Day climb has been coordinated to join Dave's 2-Day climb that will be at Sand Rock on Saturday.  We will head out bright and early to maximize the day. This climb is planned for Sand Rock in Leesburg, AL, but it is weather dependent.

Everyone will need to have their own shoes, harness, and belay device. You will need to know how to top-rope belay.  If the trip leaders have never climbed with you, you may be asked to do a short safety check.  Sand Rock is a moderate-challenge climbing area.  Although there may be one or two lower-level climbs to maximize your experience, I recommend that you be able to climb at a level that is approximately equivalent to Stone Summit 5.8+ or Atlanta Rocks 5.8. Climbing will be top-rope style with ropes set for you.

A Word on Times:

The carpool will depart at 8:00 AM Atlanta time.
We will arrive at Sand Rock at about 10:00 AM Atlanta time (9:00 AM Alabama time).
We will depart Sand Rock at about 5:00 PM Atlanta time (4:00 PM Alabama time).
We will try to arrive back at the Kennesaw Park & Ride not later than 7:30 - 8:00 PM Atlanta time.

If everyone is hungry, and I'm sure they will be, we'll grab a quick bite to eat on the way back.
