Itinerary:
Never been backpacking before, would you like to hike the entire Appalachian Trail. Have you been hiking trails all over the state and are now ready to step it up to the next level. Then this Intro to Backpacking might be just the thing for you! The instruction provided by an REI backpacking expert will help you make decisions about equipment and cost, and help prepare you for your first multiday backpacking adventure.

The group will meet in the Buford REI parking lot at 11:30 am. From there we will walk over to the Mill Creek Nature Center. The hike should take about 20 minutes. We will setup at the Nature Center Amphitheater, where we will relax and enjoy our lunch or snack and drink while viewing the presentation, which should take from 60 to 90 minutes.
