Itinerary:
Take a break from the madness of post-Thanksgiving shopping! Enjoy the Holiday lights while taking a spin around Atlanta’s only outdoor ice-skating rink, or sip hot chocolate on the sidelines and laugh at everyone else falling down. The ice-skating rink features a three-inch thick sheet of real ice, covered observation seating, theatrical lighting on the ice and decorative lighting in the trees surrounding the rink. We will get there at 5 pm and skate for about an hour. For those that are up for it, we will grab some dinner afterwards.
Parking is expensive near the park, so if anyone would like to carpool let me know where you live and I will try to set something up. Or you can take Marta directly there. For more info about the rink, check out http://www.centennialpark.com/?page_id=123

Required Items to Bring:
$7 plus $2 to rent skates
Ice skates if you have them
Warm clothing, gloves, tall socks (the thicker the better)
Lockers are available for $1, quarters only, at the ice rink to securely store belongings
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Take I-75/85 south to Williams Street (Exit 249C). Turn right on Alexander Street. Turn left on Marietta Street. The recommended parking is in the Green Lot ($8), which will be on the right, across the street from Embassy Suites. Parking is also available in other lots around the perimeter of the Park.

On MARTA take the West Line to the Philips Arena/Dome/GWCC Station (W-1), or take the North Line to Peachtree Center (N-1), and follow the signs to Centennial Olympic Park.
