*We will cancel the urban hike due to rain. The new carpool time will be 10:00 AM Sharp same place. We will travel to Chattanooga and stop in The Terminal Brewhouse for a quick appetizer and beer and bathroom break. We will arrive at Terminal House (6 E 14th St. Chattanooga, TN, Phone # 423.752.8090) around 11:45 for those not carpooling and want to join. You may also drive directly to the boat dock and meet us no later than 1:30 PM.

Join us for a Chattanooga Urban hike. We will hike sections of the Riverwalk and Bluff View Art District.  Will give more details later including where to park
Blue Moon cruises will take us on a cruise up the Tennessee River. We will head to the Hiawassee Island area to view Bald Eagles, Whooping Cranes, Sand Cranes. The Cruise begins at 2:00 PM sharp. Arrive at the marina no later than 1:30
"Hiwassee Island, located in the Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge at the confluence of the Hiwassee and Tennessee Rivers, is the premier wintering observation site in the southeast for the magnificent Sandhill Crane. Along with the 10,000 plus Sandhill Cranes we usually have a few Whooping Cranes in the area.
The Blue Moon's Eco-Cruise is an exceptional way to view not only the cranes but Bald Eagles as well. The refuge is the wintering home of more than 20 adult and juvenile Bald Eagles. It has the earliest known nesting Bald Eagles in the state. The cruise is not just about the cranes and eagles.  The Refuge has over 100 species of resident and migrating birds along with rich Native American and early history of the area."
This will be a 3 1/2 hour cruise including dinner. The food was really great on the sunset event in the spring.
There is an enclosed area on the boat if you get cold. Please pack warm clothing if the weather is cool.
Bring your Camera and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
