Itinerary:
Our day hike begins at the top of Amicalola Falls. We'll be hiking in on AT approach trail for approx 4.5 miles and then split off on the Hike Inn trail. This trail will take us to Len Foote Hike Inn where we'll stop for a lunch, take some time relax and enjoy the view from the back. Bring your lunch and we'll eat in the dining area. Most of the time the Hike Inn has cookies or cake available for a small dontation. They also have hot tea and cocoa available.

Note: While in the dining area, please stay out of the kitchen area and be sure to clean up after yourselves. If you packed it in, then you will need to plan to pack it out.

Approximate total mileage is 10.5 miles with a moderate pace between 2.5 and 3.0 mph.

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $48.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Notes:
There's a fee to park at Amicalola State Park. If you do not have an annual park pass, then you can purchase a day pass for $5.00 once we get there.
