We will head to Cool river tubing company, for hours of cool river fun in Helen. If you have a aqua sole (available for $3 and up) that would be great, if not, you should wear old sneakers, since the river bottom is rocky and slick. Halfway through tubing, well stop by for water slide fun, its like one of the water ride from Six Flags White Water in Marietta. Dont forget bring a change of cloths, down stairs changing area, they have hot showers. *If you find a nice walking stick while hiking on the trail, you should keep it to use on tubing. Youll be so glad you brought your walking stick, but I would not recommend to bring store bought walking sticks on tubing, since I have a bitter memories of loosing my good walking sticks some where on the river... :-(

After Tubing, I have made a resevation at West Family Restaurant off GA-75 on the way back to Cleveland on the let side. Family style dinning, order from the menu or go for the buffet. Eating in Helen is becoming too expensive averaging $15-25 per person, so West is a good alternative, good food inexpensive.

Required Items to Bring:
Plenty of water or sports drink, snacks and lunch for tubing if you happen to have a wet shoes (aqua Socks) it will come in handy, old sneakers will be good too, since the river bottom is rocky and slippery.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Helen, GA 30545 11:45 a.m. - Smithgall Woods Conservation Area Visitor Center, everyone needs to sign in and get a permit and parking pass inside the visitor center.
