Itinerary:
THIS IS (ALMOST) THE LAST CHATTANOON HIKE
Because of popular request we repeat hike # 5 ... since it rained so "heavenly" on 12/20/11

The ChattaNoon Hikes are very suitable for Newbies and Beginners. Why? We are not planning to set new speed records. If we hike close to five miles only, at a little slower pace, that's OK too. We'll get our heart rates up though. We may even sweat a bit, but you won't need a shower before going back to work. All ten hikes will be at different places at the Chattahoochee NRA, beginning at Noon. Ah, that's why they are called ChattaNoon Hikes. Please be on time, because we will leave on time ... some need to get back to work.

This is a rain, shine, or snow hike (except under extreme thunder storm warning).

Come join me (again) on the trails at the Vickery Creek - Unit of the Chattahoochee NRA. Vickery Creek is one of my favorite areas at the Chattahoochee river. We will stop at the Dam and at the Roswell Mill Machine Shop. The trail directly at the Big Creek is unfortunately partially closed (erosion). What we will do, however, is a short in-and-out-walk so that we can also enjoy that part of Vickery Creek.
If you have any questions e-mail the Event Coordinator.
