Itinerary:

We've planned two Water hikes today - - the first at Sweetwater Creek and the second at Boundary Waters.   Do either one or both, whichever works for you! This frst one at Sweetwater Creek State Park is an AOC favorite.  We'll take the red and white trails with a little leg of the yellow trail for around 5-6 miles at a moderately fast pace.  This is not a beginner's hike, as we will be making frequent elevation changes over some rocky trails.  It will be a good workout!

After the hike,  we'll stop for lunch at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant on Thornton Road before heading down I-20 to our next hike at Boundary Waters off of the Fairburn exit.

There is parking at the Visitor's Center lot, where we'll meet.  This location has a restroom facility and an interesting museum for folks new to the park.  Get there early to take advantage of the Visitor's Center, as we'll be having to start the hike promptly at 10 AM.

We'll allow up to 3 dogs, but for this hike, they must be kept on a leash and be well socialized to both people and other dogs.

Be aware that there is a $5 parking fee for your car, unless you have a state park pass.
