Itinerary:

Hmm ... "Home for Lunch" hikes" Why? All hikes start at 9:00am on Saturdays or Sundays and will last 2 - 2 1/2 hours. So, you'll be home for lunch. The "Home for Lunch" hikes are very suitable for Newbies and Beginners. Why? We are not planning to set new speed records. If we hike close 5 miles, that's fine too. All hikes will be at different places in the Metro Atlanta area. Why? We want you to spend your time hiking and not driving. This is a rain or shine hike (except under extreme thunder storm warning). Why? Just because :) Did you count ‘em? Now you know where the name "Four WHY" hikes came from.

Come join me on the trails at the Gold Branch Unit of the Chattahoochee NRA. There are three trails designated red, blue, and yellow. We will walk a loop covering most of these trails. The western part of this loop goes through rolling pine forest. The eastern part goes along the bank of Bull Sluice Lake, formed by the Chattahoochee River behind Morgan Falls Dam. The length of the hike is about 5 miles. Due to the many possible side trails it is important that we remain together fairly closely as a group.

If you have any questions e-mail the Event Coordinator.
