Itinerary:
Headlamp-Hikers,

This will be a fun hike with a moderate pace.  Nothing too strenuous here to worry about, just listen the the sounds of the Etowah River and the wind in the trees.  This will be a little longer than my normal Headlamp Hikes so be prepared for being finished later.  You will need a flashlight or headlamp (preferred).

The park is located behind Cherokee High School but has its own entrance (Boling Park).  Please drive all the way to the back of the park and look for the Porta Johns.  This is where we enter the park to hike.  Look for other AOC'ers.

Since it is now February, temperatures could start to get a little on the chilly side, so bring a jacket, hat, and gloves.  Bring a bookbag or Camelback so you can shed layers if needed.

***If there is a chance of rain or it is raining this will not cancel the hike***

New AOC members and beginners are more than welcome to attend but please be ready to hike!!!!  The hike is a little over 6 miles total, and this is a good way to judge if you are ready to attempt some longer hikes with the AOC. 

***Anyone that wants to stay around there is a Sports Bar in downtown Canton about two miles away that will not be closed, but will probably not be selling food.***

Headlamp or Flashlight
Jacket (Raincoat if raining)
Gloves
Small pack/backpack
Water
Hiking boots or shoes
Snack		Recommended Items to Bring:

Hiking poles

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Take I-575 North to Exit 16.
Left off the exit towards Hwy20
At the light (dead ends) take a right
head north on Hwy 5 (Marietta Hwy)
Boling Park is on the left past the bridge
Park entrance is before you get to Cherokee High School
If you get the the School you are too far.

Once inside the park entrance, go all the way to the back past the fields to the rear parking lot.  That is where the hike starts, look for you fellow AOC'ers.
